Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti shamed residents who were using electricity on Sunday, even though the city is experiencing record-breaking heat waves.
It’s almost 3 p.m. Time to turn off major appliances, set the thermostat to 78 degrees (or use a fan instead), turn off excess lights and unplug any appliances you’re not using.

Because of the record-setting heat and ongoing wildfires, residents have been using more electricity to cool their homes, increasing stress on the power grid and triggering several blackouts.
But as many users pointed out, the fault doesn’t lie with Los Angeles’s citizens; it lies with Garcetti and the other Democrats who have forced the city to adopt socialist energy policies.
