Rep. Luna: FBI Worried that Informant in Biden Crime Family Case Might be Killed

'The FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family...'

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said Monday that the FBI is worried that a confidential informant, who provided information about an alleged $5 million bribery scheme involving the Biden family, might be killed if the person’s identity were exposed.

Luna said she learned this from a closed-door House Oversight Committee meeting, which followed an earlier meeting between the FBI and chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and ranking member Jamie Raskin, D-N.Y.

Comer has been seeking a copy of an FBI’s FD-1023 form, which contains the informant’s allegations against the Biden family. At the earlier meeting, FBI Director Christopher Wray reportedly briefed Comer and Raskin about the informant’s allegations but declined to provide the FD-1023 form.

Luna’s statement suggested that the FBI’s concerns for its informant’s safety was one of the reasons the bureau doesn’t want to provide the FD-1023 form.

Either way, Comer announced Monday that his committee will start proceedings on Thursday to hold Wray in contempt of Congress for his refusal to release the document.

Comer said Monday he’s more convinced than ever that the damning allegation made by an FBI whistleblower “has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation.”

He noted that the whistleblower was a “highly credible” informant used by the DOJ since the Obama administration and paid a handsome six-figures for his efforts.

“These are facts, and no amount of spin—and, frankly, lies from the White House or Congressional Democrats—can change this information,” Comer said as part of his announcement to launch contempt proceedings against Wray.

Comer also reportedly revealed Monday that while the FBI’s FD-1023 form containing the allegations was dated in 2020, information in the document suggested the FBI may have been aware of the accusations as far back as 2017.

“This particular document was dated in 2020, but there are notes in the document that date back to 2017,” Comer said during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“We believe that this human source initially informed the FBI of the bribery scheme back in 2017,” he continued. “So my question to the FBI was, ‘What exactly have you done with this accusation?’”
