Chicago Mayor Appears to Call for LGBT Violence over Abortion

'To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next...'

(John McCann, Headline USA) In the wake of of the Supreme Court’s apparent ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, lesbian Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot issued a “call to arms” to the LGBT community, arguing that if federal abortion mandates were struck down, gay rights could meet the same fate, Breitbart reported.

She went on to declare that “we will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”

Lightfoot’s bold statements were met with ridicule and disgust by conservative critics, who took to Twitter to point out the hypocrisy of her words, as the Gateway Pundit noted.

One user pointed out that former President Donald Trump was impeached for saying less: “Trump was impeached for saying “fight like hell.”

Lightfoot was among the Democrats were eager to accuse Trump of inciting violence during the Jan. 6 uprising.

But now leftist leaders are using similar language to encourage and excuse potentially violent behavior.

Lightfoot’s “call to arms” also brought attention to her record on gun control, according to the conservative site Twitchy.

The Chicago mayor is not the only Democrat official who has sought to stoke fear in constituents.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., echoed Lightfoot’s sentiments on The View.

“When you read Justice Alito’s opinion, what he focuses on is history, and he says we don’t have to protect our access to abortion because historically we haven’t had that access,” she claimed. “Boy, that ought to make your gay friends nervous because we don’t have a long history of protecting equal marriage.”

These sentiments have prompted leftists protestors to harass the conservative justices at their homes in the hopes of intimidating  the highest court in the land.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr was among the many to point out that such actions were a “violation of the law” and “not a valid form of protest,” noted Breitbart.
