(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) California’s ultra-woke “Reparations Task Force” recently decreed that each black person in America is owed $1 million in damages, also suggesting that homeless black people deserve even more.
Kamilah Moore, the ringleader of the task force, told Al Sharpton that redlining in California from 1933 and 1977 irreversibly harmed the black population in the state, calling housing discrimination one of the “five sanctioned atrocities” against blacks, the Daily Mail reported.
The other alleged atrocities include: the state taking property; the devaluation of black businesses; discrimination against homeless populations; incarceration of criminals; and a lack of free healthcare for blacks.
Black activists in the state have recently threatened the government with race riots, suggesting that it “comply or its going to be a serious backlash.”
The task force plans to deliver its final conclusions to state legislators on July 1, 2023. In the meantime, activists are preparing the way for major reparation payments, which they say will help the economy, contrary to popular opinion.
“I expect it to have a positive impact on the economy, to go beyond the dominant messaging that reparations is a handout or that black people aren’t good with money,” Moore said.
“[Reparations] will work to close the lineage/racial wealth gap, which would in turn stimulate the economy, via the proliferation of African Americans being able to buy a home or vehicle, open a business, and/or contribute to the existing economy.”
Moore also noted that, in order to help the state pay the huge sums to its black residents, the task force is brainstorming ideas to assist in the funding.
The California proposals are the latest in a long string of absurd reparation policies that have been implemented across America.
For example, Yale University recently instituted a reparations plan to send local high school students out of state to Historically Black Colleges and Universities rather than enroll them at the Ivy League school.
