Explosion at Ohio Metal Plant Kills One, Fuels Sabotage Questions

'It blew debris and shrapnel, there were cars on fire. We just saw pandemonium after the explosion... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) A reported mass casualty explosion rocked the town of Bedford, Ohio, on Monday after a fire ripped through a metal manufacturing plant, the latest in a series of potentially deadly disasters that has erupted across the country in recent weeks.

At least 14 people were rushed to the hospital after the explosion, which witnesses described as a giant “boom” and soaring plume of smoke. One fatality has already been reported.

The Bedford disaster came in the wake of the toxic train derailment and explosion earlier this month in East Palestine, Ohio, which has left residents reeling from the fallout. In response, the Biden administration has tried to downplay the East Palestine disaster, even initially refusing federal emergency aid in a decision that was reversed after former President Donald Trump announced he planned to visit the Ohio town.

Bedford, located just south of Cleveland, is about 70 miles from East Palestine. Firefighters were reportedly able to get the blaze under control, but not before flying debris caught several cars on fire hundreds of yards from the plant.

Officials have not released a cause for the fire, according to Cleveland’s News 5. While the long-term ramifications of health-related issues have also not been addressed, residents were already reporting a sickly, toxic smell in the air as far away as Cleveland, where smoke from the explosion was visible.

With no satisfactory official explanations following the East Palestine and Bedford explosions, along with multiple other disasters that have stuck food plants, manufacturing facilities and power stations across the country, concerns have been heightened that the events are part of a coordinated plan of sabotage designed to weaken America.

“Not just any metal plant, a copper alloy plant. This is a strategic resource,” noted one observer after the Bedford explosion. “All those lovely missiles, bullets and bombs use quite a bit of this stuff.”

“Is there coordinated sabotage underway against the #USA carried out by domestic or foreign terrorists and either managed or permitted by the #Biden regime?” tweeted Dr. Lawrence Sellin, Colonel U.S. Army Reserve retired and chemical warfare specialist. “7 toxic chemical disasters in a 2-week period. Deliberate toxic poisoning of the Ohio River system?”

The Bedford incident shocked residents, many who said they considered themselves lucky to escape without serious injury.

“We were just loading up a truck, getting ready to leave, and it was the loudest noise we ever heard,” a worker from a business across the street told the Akron Beacon Journal. “Everything was shaking, things were falling off the shelves here. We looked out, and saw a huge plume of smoke. About 40 feet down from the entrance, it blew up half the building. It blew debris and shrapnel, there were cars on fire. We just saw pandemonium after the explosion.”

That experience tracked with another’s recounting of the explosion to News 5.

“I’m finishing my porkchop from Tasty Take-Outs, like I usually do… next thing you know—BOOM,” the man said. “I looked over and it was just…boom. Ridiculous, I don’t know how nothing hit me.”

Ohio residents again ripped the Biden administration’s response to the latest disaster to hit the state. Many criticized the president for visiting Ukraine on Monday, instead of focusing on America’s heartland.

“Safer for Biden in Ukraine .. he probably knew it was happening so didn’t visit Ohio today,” tweeted one resident, while another wondered, “Where are the I’m with Ohio pins.”
